Taha Ahmad Karim  Assistant Lecturer   Climate Change Generally, climate change is greenhouse effect which is a phenomenon based on the increasing global warming on the earth’s surface (Oceans, lands) on one factor of weather which is temperature, but climate change is a phenomenon that includes all the factors of weather like temperature, humidity, rain, drought and day and night time, therefore climate change is more comprehensive than global warming, consequently the scientist prefer to use the term of climate change than global warming. Studying climate change is of great importance for the students of geography department, because they learn and achieve information about climate change and the factors that cause climate change and global warming, meanwhile they become familiar with all the gases that cause climate change , the impacts of climate change on human life, animals, plans, increasing and decreasing sea level, and the results of climate change on human life , animals and plants.

The students are given concert examples to each topic within Kurdistan region.
Pshtiwan Ali Muhamad   Lecturer Natural Disasters  Natural disaster is one of the modern phenomenon to which a lot of attention is paid in the scientific field. The interest of the scientist in this field is due to the harms that are facing humans causing moral and material damage resulting from the climate change. Humans cause some natural disasters like Earthquake, flood, Volcano, Hurricane, Tornado,
Hemn Hassan Ismael  Assistant Lecturer   Agricultural geography It is a branch of the economic geography in a way that agricultural activity is the first activity conducted by humans and was the main motive of civilization stability. We can introduce Agricultural geography as planting in the fields and observing the agricultural production. In the view of geographers, it is a branch of geography deals with the geographical stages that affect the division of agricultural activities on the earth, analyzes the changes that happen in the planting. It pays attention to the geographical information related to environmental conditions, and associates it to human side and methods of production.
Ali Hassan Ali Lecturer  Remote sensing   The science of remote sensing (a group of methods in which various techniques like advanced cameras with lens or sensors are used which measure scattering electromagnetic ray), due to this advanced device we can collect detailed and useful data about different phenomenon and areas on the earth surface without any direct contact to the place far or near be it, Through the recorded imaged alone we can obtain all these data and information without any ground visit to the place. The cameras and sensors are connected to a balloon, airplane or a satellite in the space, therefore the development of this science is associated to the development of the cameras and sensors and to which they are connected that are airplanes and satellites. we can take advantage of this science in agriculture, industry and exploring the natural resources…etc. this activity can only be performed through satellite images, therefore its development is connected to progression of satellite images.
Salam Mahmud Nasir  Assistant lecturer Natural resources Geography  Kurdistan region is reach in different types of underground and overground natural resources, has a great human power, but what is worthy of attention is that we have not been able to depend on ourselves and obtain regional and international position. The natural resources have faced several predicaments, while it is obvious that the natural resources are the pillars of economic development in all the fields. In this regard geography department finds it necessary to teach a subject under the title of (Natural Resources).the purpose of studying natural resources in the fourth year is to familiarize the students with basics of natural resource, investigating the quality and quantity of resources, pointing out the current problems, and planning to their development and continuity so as to be invested in a suitable way and used to serve the country and citizens.
